Kirwan High Rugby League Academy is the premier Rugby League Academy in North Queensland and is nationally recognised for its elite high-performance. This program is a proven pathway to the NRL and is underpinned by the development of personal excellence, on and off the field. Founded on high expectations, our program provides students with skills to achieve personal excellence as they pursue their academic and rugby league goals.

Athletic Development
Student athletes are exposed to cutting edge athletic development practices and programs which are supported by state-of-the-art sport science resources. These programs are tailored for athletes as they develop through the athletic stages of adolescence and are underpinned by Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD).

Homestay Program
Our program has a strong history in catering for students who live outside of the Townsville region. Through the generosity of local families, students have the opportunity to homestay with a supportive Kirwan High family. We are proud of our past homestay students, including: Jeremiah Nanai, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Jacob Lillyman, Kierran Moseley, Colin Wilkie, Nathan Barrett and Ty Carucci.

Our student athletes are exposed to high-performance expert coaches with significant experience in Rugby League. Our coaches use cutting edge practices with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Our expert coaches reflect broad experiences across various levels of the game.
