Connect to the past... celebrate the future
Kirwan High welcomed its first group of students (Year 8) in 1979 and celebrated its first Year 12 graduating class in 1983. From small beginnings the school has grown to a student population of over 2,000 and graduating classes of over 300. Kirwan High is an icon of North Queensland, with a community of proud graduates.
The Kirwan High Alumni group was created with the aim of keeping all past students in contact with one another and with current activities of the school.
While there is no formal association, the Facebook group
Kirwan State High School Alumni is the best platform for communication. The school council will organise events for past students to network and engage with the school during 2018 and 2019.
In future Kirwan High hopes to create a secure Kirwan High Connect & Celebrate online community as an initiative of the school council.
For more information please contact the school at email@example.com.
2019 - Celebrating 40 years of excellence
The school assists with a number of peer coordinated reunions each year. These reunions are a great opportunity for camaraderie and friendship and the school is delighted to be involved. Peer coordinated reunions can be held in many ways – a simple picnic in the park, cocktail party, sit down lunch or formal dinner.
Whether the occasion is to be large or small, guidelines have been established to help with the successful planning and execution of these reunions. We hope you find the
KSHS Reunion guidelines (PDF, 192KB) useful in organising your event.
