Who do I need to contact if a student requires a password reset?

Services we can reset passwords for are Network Account (including email and eLearn), ClickView and Education Perfect. 

Passwords will only be given to the student face to face or by phone. Passwords will NEVER be emailed or given to anyone else, parents included.

I require software or hardware support can the school help?

The School ICT Support are unable to help with software or hardware issues for personal devices. Please contact one of the local IT vendors.

What do I do if I get "Your connection is not private" message when accessing the Kirwan High or Learning Place websites?

This is a known issue with Microsoft Edge (Chromium) v. 80 and Google Chrome v. 80

We recommend you use Mozilla Firefox or update to the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (Chromium) v81 or above.

How to access the free Microsoft Office 2016 for students and school staff?

All Queensland state school staff and students can download multiple free copies of the latest Microsoft Office to their personal home computers and mobile devices.

Students and staff will need to use their school email address to sign in. Students who don’t have a school login, school email account and password should contact their school's Managed Internet Service (MIS) administrator or class teacher. The administrator will help students activate their school login.

Microsoft Office 2016 is available for personal devices only, not devices owned by the department or part of a school network.

Your Office subscription lasts for as long as you’re a Queensland state school student or school-based staff member.

Download process

For PC and Mac, visit  , login using your school email address, click through to install and follow the onscreen process.

For tablets and smartphones, download from your app store and sign in with your school email address.

For iOS/iPadOS or Andriod you can download the Microsoft Office apps from the App store or Play Store and use your school account to unlock the full features.

Joining a Collaborate session through eLearn/Blackboard

If your teacher has asked you to join a Collaborate session you will need to download the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher app.  You can follow the directions from the Blackboard website or watch the video guide.

For iOS/iPadOS or Andriod you will need to download the Blackboard Collaborate app from the App store or Play Store.
